the ranch houseA Long Stay is one of Boerne's most beautiful and restful accommodation choices. Its close-in location provides you with easy access to state and local parks and recreation areas, vineyards, wonderful restaurants, and the excellent shopping opportunities that await you on Main Street Boerne.

Originally a working ranch dating back to 1897, the acreage is covered with beautiful live oak trees that are over 200 years old. We have preserved the South Texas ranch decor and accented it with personal touches from your hosts, the Long family.

The ranch house has been expanded through the years, and provides an elegant frame to the large patio and swimming pool. A gazebo provides a perfect setting for an intimate wedding, reception, dance or cocktail party.

The stables and barn retain their original look, but inside they have been converted to comfortable and unique accommodations!

There are five spacious guest rooms, plus a guesthouse with a fully equipped kitchen.the Black Beauty room

The Black Beauty room is just that: quite a beauty. The bed, foot bench, and armoire all share the same lovely textured wood. The artwork and furnishings all work together to create the charm of Texas. The porcelain tub has brass claw-feet and matching classic showerhead. the Champion room

The Champion room is a split-level room with two queen-sized wrought iron beds. This room is decorated with artwork by natives of the Southwest. A set of table and chairs offers an area to lounge or work in, if you must.

the Flicka room

The Flicka room carries its own distinct charm along with a part of history. The bed and armoire were created by hand and were made out of antique doors found in the interior of Mexico. In the bathroom awaits a tub with brass claw feet and a shower head brought in from New Orleans, lending its own unique charm.

the Silver room

The Silver room offers its guests an evening of quiet class. The bed, armoire and nightstands are all made from wire-brushed cottonwood trees. The charm of New Orleans combines with that of Texas in the bathroom. The porcelain tub rests upon brass clawed feet and is adorned with an elegant brass shower head.

the Trigger room

The Trigger room is also known around A Long Stay as the Alamo room. The queen-sized bed in this room is called an Alamo bed. The handcrafted bed and armoire carry symbols representative of Texas culture. There is also a kitchenette available with this room.

the guest house

The guesthouse is perfect for a romantic weekend or a private night of relaxation. A fully equipped kitchen is yours to use - giving the freedom to eat what you want, when you want (of course, the food is yours to bring). There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed, which was hand-made by Linda Long. An extra queen-sized bed, full bathroom and an elegant fireplace also grace the guesthouse. Just in case you would like to take a late night swim, our pool is only feet away.
